Tim Champion
President
Prior to joining Canoga Perkins, Mr. Champion held senior level management positions in several notable high tech companies. This included the position of Senior Management C
onsultant with Arthur D. Little, Inc., Executive Vice President at Magnetek Inc., Director of Marketing and Strategy at Teleflex, Inc. and Director level positions at GTE Communications Systems Division and Raytheon Company. In addition to his role as President of Canoga Perkins, Mr. Champion is also Group Vice President (Electronics) for Indel Inc. Indel Inc. is the management service company for a unique family of engineering and technology based companies that include Canoga Perkins as part of the Diversified Technology Group. Mr. Champion holds an MBA with a specialty in International Business and Marketing from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, as well as an MS degree from the University of Natal, South Africa.
Rick Reese
Vice President of Logistics
Rick Reese has been with Canoga almost since the beginning with service of over 30 years. During this time Rick was promoted up from manufacturing until he became a member of the senior management team. Ricks was VP of manufacturing and Operations up until 2005 at which time he was promoted to lead the Logistics Group when Canoga Perkins became a Lean manufacturing company. Rick is a central point of coordination within Canoga Perkins ensuring that orders are synchronized on a daily basis through to shipping.
Gary Allport
Vice President of Information Technology
Gary has over 20 years of experience working with all types of networking equipment, SANs and software products, ranging from mainframes and Unix to network operating systems. He is an expert in fiber optic LAN, switch and router technology. Gary has an extensive background, having designed and managed nation wide data and voice networks in various industries. Gary also owned and managed a successful consulting service during the course of his career. Gary is an alumnus of Palomar College, majoring in business management and data processing.
Jim Heney
Director of Marketing
Jim has been involved in the communication industry for over 30 years and has
a strong background in Private Line Central Office Operations, Network Design, System Engineering, Consulting, and Technical Marketing. Working for Carriers, Value Added Networks, and Equipment Manufacturers, he has specialized in Network Architectures and Protocols and has been involved with a variety of leading edge communications technologies ranging from satellite to undersea cable and telephone to high speed LAN and optical networking. As Head of Marketing for Canoga Perkins, Jim is now focused on expanding Canoga Perkins presence in the Service Provider market with the introduction of new products and technologies to meet the needs of Canoga Perkins' customers.
David Wang
Director of Engineering
David started at Canoga Perkins as an Associate Engineer, quickly moving to System Engineering then on to Senior Design Engineer, graduating to Project Leader and was then pr
omoted to Manager of LAN Product Development and Chassis Systems. With all this experience of Canoga development under his belt David was the logical choice to become Director of Engineering in 2002. David has over twelve years of engineering and management experience in high technology industries such as Everex and IBS. David's technology background includes Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, ISDN, T1/E1, T3/E3, Telephony, fiber optics, CWDM and DWDM, TDM multiplexing, PCI architecture, FPGA/PLD design, C and C++ programming and design for compliance and NEBS capability. David holds a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles.
Richard Kunisaki
Controller
Canoga Perkins’ newest member of the management team, Richard brings over 15 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Starting his career working for local and national CPA firms in the Los Angeles area, he spent 12 years as the Controller for Warrior Hockey, Inc., a subsidiary of New Balance Athletic Shoe. While at Warrior, Richard was responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and system implementation for both the California and Mexico manufacturing operations. This extensive operational and financial knowledge is invaluable to the day to day operations of Canoga Perkins' and support of the management team at Canoga Perkins. Richard holds a B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting Theory and Practice from California State University of Northridge.
Manager of Operations Planning
Keith is in charge of Canoga Perkins' IT Programming and holds a BA in English and a BA in Religious Studies. He became manager of Canoga Logistics during Canoga Perkins' move to Lean Manufacturing and our new ERP system. He manages Purchasing and Inventory Logistics in addition to his IT functions in recognition of his expert knowledge of the intimate details of these operations.
Ken Selover
Manager of Manufacturing and Testing
Ken joined Canoga Perkins in 2000 as a senior engineer responsible for writing,
designing and building Canoga's test functions fixtures and software, including our new range of products which incorporate SITS BIST testing. Ken has a BSCS with over 30 years of hardware and software experience in the electronics industry. Prior to that, Ken was in the Merchant Marine. He is also a Master Mariner - (ships captain to you land lubbers!) Ken was instrumental in Canoga Perkins' Lean Manufacturing initiative and very successfully spearheaded Canoga's extensive outsourced manufacturing program three years ago. He gained expert knowledge in manufacturing procedures which are now put to good use running Canoga's manufacturing.
